Birth & Beyond

Picture
Birth & Beyond is a community-based program that offers a range of services, activities, and opportunities that respond comprehensively to the needs of local residents and families. Services are provided free of charge through local Family Resource Centers in nine neighborhoods in Sacramento County where children are most at-risk for maltreatment.

Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers work closely together to align and integrate their efforts to ensure that families are able to get what they need to achieve their goals. Family Resource Centers collaborate broadly across systems to provide effective supports based on a deep understanding of the community served.

Dedicated AmeriCorps members are recruited and enrolled to strengthen local prevention efforts. Birth & Beyond AmeriCorps members provide services including parenting education workshops, home visitation, school readiness support, resource referrals, and crisis intervention.
